Dinamic™  Guaiacol is a naturally occurring organic compound, known for its flavouring properties. It is clear colourless to slightly yellow coloured liquid (above 28°C) or crystalline solid mass with characteristic aromatic odour.

Guaiacol is manufactured in industry by methylation of pyrocatechol and mainly used as a precursor for synthesis of Vanillin. It is also used in synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, flavouring agents and perfumery products.

APPLICATION:

Flavours & Fragrances:
Guaiacol is used in the synthesis of various flavours and fragrances such as Vanillin, Isovanillin, Eugenol, Isoeugenol, Zingerone, 4-Ethylguaiacol & 4-Vinylguaiacol etc.

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients:
Guaiacol is used in the synthesis of expectorant such as Guaifenesin and Sulfoguaiacol. Drug intermediates obtained from Guaiacol are used in the synthesis of muscle relaxant and cardio vascular drugs such as Methacarbamol, Carvedilol and Ranolazine.
