Potassium Sorbate

Potassium sorbate (E202) is white granular or powder, used as a food preservative. It is used to inhibit moulds and yeasts in many food applications. The use of potassium sorbate increases the shelf life of foods, so many dietary supplements also include it.

Applications:

Used as a preservative in food such as meat, aquatic products, vegetables and fruits to inhibit microbial growth and fermentation
It’s also used in cheese, yogurt, etc.

Used as preservative in beverage such as wine, beer, soft drinks, fruit drinks.

Used as a preservative in pharmaceuticals.

Health and Personal care:
Used primarily in the formulation of facial and eye makeup and skin care and hair products. It kills microbes or prevents or retards their growth and reproduction, and thus protect cosmetics and personal care products from spoiling.

Can be used as a preservative in Agriculture/Animal Feed/Poultry feed.
