R&D Officer/Manager

Location – Tarapur

Primary Responsibilities
 - Perform bench-top laboratory experiments.
 - Record finding of trials and prepare the detailed reports.
 - Standardize and validate process parameters for conducting scale up trials.
 - Apply the research findings for improvement of product process and practice.
 - Troubleshoot existing process, to optimize cost saving, production performance. Perform appropriate tests/evaluation as per needed.
 - Manage various laboratory equipment in an organized manner, keep records and SOP to comply with food safety and HACCP requirement.
 - Plan for appropriate technical needs for development of Vegetable oil-based derivatives
 - Conduct experiments to develop new product as per the market need.
 - Maintain neat and clean laboratory and ensure functionally all equipment’s.

Candidate proficiency
 - Master’s degree in chemistry or Organic chemistry or a relevant disciple with minimum 2 years of working experience in R&D research lab in the field of synthesis of emulsifier and formulation of emulsifier for food, feed.
 - Through knowledge of oils and fats is a strong advantage
 - Well versed with basic chemical reactions, knowledge of laboratory management and quality systems.
 - Technical reporting and data analysis, interpretation. 
 - Project management skill

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Postgraduate – preferably from Life Sciences stream
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Should have sound knowledge of computer.
  • More than 5 years of experience in establishing business of Animal Feed Additives.
  • Experience in distribution and sub-dealer management.
  • Understanding of feed supplement Application (Liquid) in Animal Feed.
  • Should be ready to travel as per business requirements.
  • Ability to understand product concepts & skilled to articulate.
  • Sound marketing & clientele mapping skills.
  • Good communication & presentation skills
  • Good at explaining relevant value proposition.
  • Ability to understand, create opportunities for sales.  
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Result oriented.
  • Should have good knowledge about territory.
  • To implement all business strategies and marketing initiatives effectively to generate business opportunities.
  • To achieve business targets with targeted clients and within stipulated timelines.
  • Effective organization penetration of products in region.
  • Handle distribution network.
  • Responsible for generating sales in key accounts in region with thorough idea of key accounts in terms of hierarchy, influencing factors and internal ambiance.   
  • Monitoring market trends for different product line and competitor information, activity and strategy.
  • Manage key accounts at decision making level, at purchase and at product user level
  • Expertise in handling product trials, laboratory services for product promotion.
  • Ability to penetrate product at farm, feed-mills and key accounts.
  • Adhere to all company policies and working norms without any compromise.
