Dinamic CHLORANIL

(CAS No.: 118-75-2)

1. Introduction:

p-Chloranil (2,3,5,6-Tetrachlorocyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione) is a member of the 1,4-benzoquinone family in which all four hydrogens are substituted by chlorine atoms.

It is used as a dye intermediate, pigments, oxidizing agent, vulcanizing agent, dehydrogenation reagent, veterinary topical medication, fungicide for seed treatment and foliar application, and to make chloranil electrodes for pH measurements.

Camlin Fine Sciences (CFS) produces p-Chloranil starting from Hydroquinone. We have been successful in our Performance Chemicals Division with various Catechol and Hydroquinone downstream products. The power of integration has also given us unmatched advantages of size, scale, and scope.
