Chloranil®

Chloranil is a quinone also known as tetrachloro-1,4-benzoquinone, is a yellow solid. Like the parent benzoquinone, chloranil is a planar molecule that functions as a mild oxidant. Chloranil is used as an oxidizing agent, dye intermediate, vulcanizing agent, dehydrogenation reagent, and veterinary topical medication. It is also used as a fungicide in seed treatment and foliar application and to make chloranil electrodes for pH measurements.

Uses & Applications
Dyes & Pigments: Chloranil, a key raw material is used primarily in the production of Pigment Violet 23. It is also be used to make Reactive Blue Dye 187 and Pigment Violet 37.

Pharmaceuticals: Chloranil is used to make DDQ (2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyanobenzoquinone), which is used as an oxidizing agent in the pharma industry.  Chloranil is also used as raw material to make API Diaziquone. Packaging & Shelf Life Packed in polythene bag inside 25Kgs fibre drums The product has a shelf life of one year from its manufacturing date, when properly stored in its original package. Keep product in tightly closed container away from light and heat.
